Applied computer vision and video content analysis in Perception at Google Research

In this talk I will give an overview of some of the work done in Perception at Google Research, focusing in particular on video content analysis and applications. Some examples will include how we use computer vision to improve online advertising products as well as some of our work on learning visual models from weak supervision and web data platforms such as YouTube. I will present how we used transfer learning for other domains e.g. personal photos. Finally, I will discuss some of the big open challenges we are facing.
