Welcome!
I am a research group leader in the Computer Vision and Multimodel Computing Lab at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics. Previously I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Computer Vision Lab of the ETH Zuerich, an interim professor at TU Darmstadt and PhD student at the Empirical Inference group at the Max Planck Institute in Tübingen.
I am interested in machine learning problems, especially those arising in computer vision. My main application area is image and object classification and I focus on problems that arise in this context: feature combination and learning with ambigous or few labels. Another field of research are problems in computational imaging.
