Head of the CALVIN research group

I am a Lecturer at the University of Edinburgh.

My research interests are in computer vision, with focus on learning visual concepts with minimal human supervision. In addition, I also research human pose estimation in real-world images and video.

In the past I have worked on several other computer vision problems, including learning visual attributes, shape matching, object class detection based on contours, specific object recognition, multi-view wide-baseline stereo, and tracking in video.

I am leading the CALVIN research group at ETH Zurich and University of Edinburgh.
